City Charter & Code of Ordinances
Description: The City Charter is the constitution of the municipal government, defining the City’s corporate boundaries and its powers and authority, its responsibilities on behalf of the community, its operating structure (including elected offices), and the processes through which official decisions and actions are made.

The Code of Ordinances is a compilation of the local laws and public policies enacted and enforced by the City of Minneapolis, arranged by subject matter.

The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining the City Charter & Code of Ordinances and for access to the same.
